Kaupapa / Vision
Our Kaupapa / vision is that all children and young people in Hawke’s Bay grow up in a safe and well-supported environment.
HBCHT supports the wellbeing of children and young people in Hawke’s Bay by resourcing services that work with children and young people in order to:
- provide education, support, and assistance
- provide advice, guidance, and counselling
- provide accommodation, material support, and long-term care
- promote confidence and life skills
- provide physical, mental, and spiritual care
- provide respite care and engage in social work
- provide protection and prevent abuse and neglect
- act as an advocate for the needs of children and young people
- assist and strengthen the families of children and young people
